[For Company and Power apps only]
Contact your account manager should you need assistance with setting up CNAMEs for your website domain (to restore your company app download URL.)
CNAME records create URL alias that will help the app properly download on your user’s phone. They are set up on the back end of your website domain and does not effect the front end of your website or how your website functions.
Please follow these steps to set up CNAME records for your website domain name for your mobile and desktop experience for your app. If you have a registered Internet domain name, this document explains how to set it up for use with the Smarter Agent system.
To set up these three URLs, you or your network administrator will use a technique called CNAME RECORDS, which will point your URLs to the Smarter Agent system.
Note that the CNAMEs must be set up wherever your site is being hosted, most usually in the DNS Zone (Domain Name System). The example below assumes you already have a registered domain name.
You will set up three CNAME Records using your domain name and where they should point to:
app.YOURDOMAIN.com CNAME RECORD POINTS to app.smarteragent.com
sa.YOURDOMAIN.com CNAME RECORD POINTS to sa.smarteragent.com
mw.YOURDOMAIN.com CNAME RECORD POINTS to mw.smarteragent.com
*Note: The app.YOURDOMAIN.com URL will be a public facing URL where your users will be able to go to download your app. It acts as a landing page branded to your company to download your app. The other two URL’s assist in the proper download of the app.
